Brilliant Dam Expansion Project Overview

The 120 MW Brilliant Expansion Project involved the construction of a second powerhouse just downstream of the existing dam.

Using water that would otherwise be spilled over the dam, the new powerhouse has the capacity to generate enough power to supply 50,000 homes.

During its four year construction period, the project employed over 400 workers and 85% were local residents!

Special thanks go to the Community Impact Management Committee, made up of local residents, municipal government leaders, and representatives from the project partners and the contractor who met monthly during the construction period to mitigate potential issues from the project.
